Rutgers University Dance Marathon (RUDM) is a student run and year-long philanthropy project directly benefiting Embrace Kids Foundation. Over 2,000 students dedicate countless hours raising money, organizing projects and volunteering at events that then culminate in a spectacular dance marathon.  Students often dance as part of teams representing their student organizations in a mutual effort to fundraise. RUDM is high energy, filled with activities, games, live bands, music, and food to engage the participants. In the finale, patient families join a large dance party on the floor followed by a reveal of the total amount raised! RUDM is widely regarded by many students as the most positive and impactful experience during their Rutgers student careers.

SUPPORT 2023 RUDM

The RU4Kids Program

The RU4Kids Program is a joint program between Embrace Kids and RUDM that connects student organizations with patient families. The goal of RU4Kids is for the college students to provide comfort, friendly faces, and fun during trying times. Students visit the children during treatment and engage them with fun activities. Additionally, students and families meet outside of treatment for parties, sporting events, and movies! The students make a family’s time through treatment much easier by being a fun escape during a difficult journey. This program cultivates friendships and a priceless bond between the students and families.
